east central ND | If it’s not just a bad fuse, might be time to upgrade to a new panel?
Just replaced the original 50 year old breaker panel in the farm shop. If it was real quite you could hear it sizzle once in a while. Buss bar to breaker connection was poor. Electrician said that brand of the old panel was known as a cheap one that did not last. He was surprised it had not been replaced years ago being it runs electric off peak heaters.
Replaced a fuse box in the cold storage shed a couple years ago, shed was 30 years old, but the screw in fuse box was well used when installed. Who knows how old. Was having trouble with tractor block heater. Box had a bunch of corrosion in the back side of the fuse holders.
