My wife pounds it out and makes country fried steak or a Chinese sesame beef. Both are delicious and are probably a couple of my favorite beef dishes.


Sounds like a plan. I can't keep the breading from all falling off. Do you have a recipe?


To get the breading to stay on make sure the meat is dry before dredging. Any water on the meat will turn to steam and make the breading come off. After the cube steak is patted dry with a paper towel I dredge it in buttermilk and them roll it in seasoned flour. I then fry to golden brown in a hot oil filed cast iron skillet. Make gravy outt of the drippings and put some real mashed potatoes on the side and I would rather have that than a grilled steak.
