Subject: RE: Bogs Boots Classic High vs Mesa

East of Broken Bow
I never had Bogs, but had Mucks. Muck quality seemed to have gone down a bit, and the price seems to only go up, so I tried other brands, and settled on Kamik boots. I like their 'Huntsman' for general use. They are the most comfortable foul weather boot I have ever worn, they seem to outlast the last Muck boots I have had by at least 50%, are USA made, and are actually CHEAPER than Mucks. The last pair I ordered were on sale for $85. The biggest hurdle is finding them on hand, the ones I ordered on sale are backordered in my size. Only gripe with them is they are not heavily insulated. For when it is cold, I got a pair of their arctic boots, and so far, so good. Haven't had them long enough to guage their durability, but my toes never felt like they were going to freeze yet this winter. Not sure what style those are, but they are rated to -20*F. I say more like zero, unless you are walking around, but I think they all rate them similarly.
