John,they work really well on a reg grill.Just get the grill hot,set them on there with the belly shaped shell down,sub 8 minutes they will start to crack open,remove as soon as possible as they will get too cooked.We used to do the South Georgia way,,4 cement blocks,lid off a barrel,fire in between blocks,lay lid on ,shovel oysters on lid,throw water soaked sack oysters came in on top,7 minutes later they are open and ready.Shovel and lid should be cleaned first,,hehehe,,I think they are sub 90$ for 50 lbs there this winter.The oysters here are way more salty and much smaller,,I think they have more of what makes them special here in a compact size,,,we sell a local growers oysters,,women come in and buy them for their husbands quite often,,
