In my experience alcohol does not raise my blood sugar, and yes I do have some.

It is not in any way that I know of "good" for a person though. It along with fructose is metabolized by the liver and mostly is turned into fat into the liver. It can penetrate I think every cell in the body as well as pass the blood brain barrier (why our brain goes whacky on it).

Keep in mind that list was made up for a downs syndrome person (I would guess about 4th grade comprehension level, worked in a fast food place and did the register and everything else but cook). Figured it was fit for New AgTalk consumption! LOL *******

Beer has quite a few carbs but wine doesn't if it is not a sweet wine. Sweet wines could have lots of sugar I suppose.
