Subject: RE: Fun cooking question

Northeast Nebraska
I enjoy being in the kitchen or at the grill/smoker. My wife had very few kitchen skills when we met, but has come a long ways since then and we now share the duties pretty well.

With 3 kids to feed it's certainly a good feeling when everyone likes a meal! I love trying new recipes and our kids have gotten good about trying new things because they usually like it. Some big hits here have been ham & cheese croissant, homemade pizza, soft pretzels and smoothies, bacon wrapped chicken, or the mint Oreo cheesecake I made my wife for her birthday.

It is usually enjoyable to create a meal for the family. Now that the kids are getting older it is a lot of fun to have them help and they get enjoyment out of it as well. Our 7 year old spent a good chunk of a day reading a cookbook and picking out recipes to try.
