Subject: RE: Toyota van brakes

NC Indiana
Don't know if it will apply to toyota but on my wife's mail jeep she was going thru pads in about a month or so. I tried different things. What I found was if I used Chrysler OEM pads, kept the rotors turned and true, and used synthetic caliper grease on the slides and anywhere the pads touched the caliper every time they were serviced I could get 4 months out of a set of pads. The OEM pads were $20-$30 higher but only doing the job 3 times a year was worth it. OEM pads never dusted the wheel but aftermarket pads would turn the wheels black with brake dust in a few days. Ceramic pads would eat the rotors every time in my experience.
