Yes you will be able to take your guidance lines and most information off of the 700 and put into the 1200. You will need to use a farm management software to make that transition though. Case IH does have their AFS connect account that is free and isn't too hard to navigate through.

If you want to run the 1200 planter with the new machine, you will still need to have a 700 in the cab. They make a kit specifically for putting a 700 in there that should include the correct harnesses to make that all work. I've seen it on a couple machines and it works well. You just have to make sure that the 700 has generic tractor on it otherwise it'll scream at you because it's not seeing the tractor controllers.
