| Totally uneducated on setting up this internet service so I have local gentleman that makes all the network stuff work for me look at this. I had the nighthawk connected to a TP link router for my house wireless network. Seems like I was always having to reboot it as it would slow down speeds. Rebooting it would bring things back to life. To work toward fixing this he installed a Cisco 800 series router and now speeds are decent but launching a website is slow and just cranks for a while before opening the site. Tech seems to think it is double natting. I guess that is like both devices are trying to find the address at the same time. Is there a setting on the Nighthawk to allow a pass through so it acts as a modem only to let the Cisco do the routing? I'm in way over my head on the tech stuff but trying to find a remedy for this. Has anyone experienced this problem? Thanks in advance. | |
