North central North Dakota | I bought a Lenovo 27" with I7 processor couple months ago. It will be replacing an I3 desktop unit. I have had no problems with hooking up what I need. I did buy a hub for more expansion and to easily attach my USB drive when I make a regular backup of my Quickbooks data for off site storage. Storage space on the SSD has not been a problem as I see so far since. I did hook up a 1TB SSD to hold downloaded photos or other miscellaneous stuff. My Davis Vantage Vue uses one USB port, Brother printers are set up as wireless connection. I will use the monitor from my desktop setup as a second display once I physically move the computers - I am still using both on my desk until I know I got everything moved and running.
On a side note I did also buy a PC stick with Windows 11. A fanless computer that plugs into HDMI port. Also bought a nearly full size keyboard and touchpad for it. Plugged it into a TV hanging on wall in shop office. Surprised how well it is working so far. Put Chrome on it, added wireless printers. At 1080P resolution on the TV it does just fine. |
