Subject: RE: Eating out

West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12
There are a lot great privately owned places to choose from when foraging for food around here. several source as many locally grown products as possible. We are friends with the owners of several different places. We did our part to help keep their doors open when it was take out only during the covid "lock downs", and will continue to keep doing our part to keep their doors open going forward. The service and quality will sometimes vary depending their help situation, but that's the way it's always been. We just order another beer and/or appetizer while we wait. If we wanted fast food we would have went to one of the many the local fast food places or gas stations.

Like everyone else we can eat cheaper at home than going out, but, my wife and I like to go out on a date...even if it's after work. It's like John Burns replied more often than not we go out to eat for the social support and to listen to what's going on in other people's lives rather than to critique the food and service. And, all those local eating places supported our businesses during covid, and will continue to support our businesses going forward, hopefully we can all survive and provide a few local jobs...that's how small towns work....
