My house is plumbed with CPVC pipe. I cut the pipe glued a tee in. Off the tee, a valve with a stub of pipe turned up. Shut water off. Open valve on bottom to drain a little water. Open valve on stub and pour peroxide in. Close the valve and let it sit in water heater.
