I’ve done the polish kits and you have to spend a lot of time getting all the fog from the abrasive out. Was repainting a car with a base coat/clear coat system and thought I would sand off the old headlights I took off and clear coat them.
They were old and I had new ones, so I wasn’t going to spend a lot of time on it. I just used something like 1000 grit until I got rid of the rough surface and had an even cloudy surface from the sand paper. Sprayed the clear coat over that and they’re almost perfectly clear. I expect them to stay that way for years.
Oh and the new replacement headlights are wonky. Very hard to get them aimed properly. | |
