If Microsoft still supported Windows 7, I'd still be running it. Windows 10 had issues when it came out, so I held off updating to it. I'm sure there are benefits under the hood but, honestly, the only advantage I've noticed is that Win10 boots faster than Win7. And, of course, it's still supported.

All that said, I haven't heard much lately about problems with Win11. In its early days, it was a train wreck -- just like Win10 before it. Microsoft seems to test with popular software but ignores business software. So OS upgrades might handle your favorite video game just fine -- but your accounting package may refuse to start.

Win11 was still in a state of flux when they began their unofficial releases. It's as if they were looking for beta testers. Problem was, users were running mission-critical computers with this beta. I haven't read about any serious problems lately. What are you hearing?
