Texas | I’m plowing up some CRP grass and planting wheat. The land owner has grubbed the trees. There is some wild plumb(sand hill plum ) thickets. Most of the place burnt this past winter. I’m able to just disk those down. The thickets that didn’t burn are not chopping up and I’m afraid I might ruin a tire or 4. Thickets are on average about a 50’ circle, bigger ones maybe 100’.
What would you do to get rid of them? Land owner has a friend with a skid steer brush hog, but that might make the tire poking worse. I guess we could push them into a small pile and burn them. Or just keep plowing them up, tractor I’m running needs new tires pretty bad, but I’m poor right now. Any ideas appreciated. Not many track tractors around here. I know that would be great to just rent one from a friend and send it.
