| The engineer that designed the pond says we could build a wall with rocks or blocks 2/3 down pond about 80% the height of water level which would catch silt in first pond and top water would flow over wall or we could extend pond and build swale btw pond addition .Both are expensive options with no guarantees. The silt is very fine, does not plug up nozzles on pivots or end guns.
So I could spend 20-40 grand on pond alterations or 20-40 on changing pump from turbine to centrifugal with riverscreen. First option are no guarantees.
We are pumping 1700 gpm out of pond with plans of adding another pump and pumping 3400 gpm.
