I'm pretty much totally illiterate on computers. I normally use really old stuff my wife has quit using. I am currently working on an old laptop she didn't like and it has to be at least 10 years old, probably more. It runs xp and I like it! But starting to worry about its integrity. I don't have a large farming operation, I use quicken for accounting, I use Excel and Word quite a little. Tend to store some video, a lot of audio and many photos. I don't do field mapping or any other applications that would require mega storage or brainpower. I spend way too much time on the internet reading and YouTube. Also listen to a lot of audio books.
Given this brief outline and not wanting to spend a Kings random, would anyone care to make a recommendation? Also, I like xp so much that moving to another OS is going to be hell, I just know that, any tips to make that transition?
