Iowa | I run similar acres, combine I change every year- tractors I go by hour gauge - just cause they run more often. My father in law is a mechanic, he always said that oil sitting in the bearings for an extended period of time was hard on them because oil with soot in it was acidic. Best case would be to change in the fall after using, but mine normally gets done right before combining starts. Like others have said, realistically you and me both aren’t gonna “wear it out” even if we went 5 years without changing oil. | |
