That'd give me a little time to duck. the thud of the bullet passing happens before the sound of the gun fireing.
Just to nerd out a bit, the speed of sound at 7000ft is roughly 743.8mph. That means that if you could hear it, the sound of the gunshot would take roughly 21.3 seconds to reach the target. So, if the bullet was taking 24 seconds to hit the target, you'd have 2.7 seconds to duck. Or, given the odds of them hitting the target at that range, maybe you'd be better off standing still. I dunno what the odds are there. | |
