The pedal on the left is not a clutch pedal, it's an inching pedal... Meant for INCHING.
The transmission clutches will last much longer if the pedal is only used when precise control is required such as backing up to an implement and dropping in the hitch pin.
Take the little orange lever and throw it into gear, it won't hurt anything.
