E. Kansas | I've got a 11 year old Samsung French door fridge, that will randomly quit cooling both the fridge and freezer portion. I have cleaned the coils and the fridge has plenty of space for ventilation. I have been unplugging unit for a short time and then it will work for about one week before it quits cooling again. Any suggestions on what to check? Everything that I have looked at looks normal, nothing freezing up that I have seen. My wife wants me to go get a new one, but I'm stubborn.
Edit to add: We have already looked at new fridges and had decided on GE if need be. Mainly because available locally and we like some of the features. Any other recommendations on brands?
