Subject: Follow up

I didn’t expect a follow up with dealership. I didn’t get one.

Rained early this morning so took time to inspect combine for damage as part was ingested and spit multiple pieces out spreader. Minor chopper damage. 6 Break-away stationary knives knocked out of position, a couple nicks in rotating knives. feeder, cone, rotor, concaves vanes, spreader, etc. unbelievably fine. **relief**

Made call to selling dealer, Arnold’s of Alden location. Confirmed part 47547951 ($198) was in stock and available at Mankato.

Road trip to Mankato. Only saw 5 soybean fields at least partly harvested. Two Deere combines in those fields. (Find it hard to believe there was a rush on CNH draper parts yet). Picked up parts at Mankato. Added extra spare parts and hardware. Returned home via Alden to pick up parts Mankato didn’t have. Totaled close to $2000. I usually purchase extra consumables/hardware at the dealer that has the immediately needed part as appreciation for stocking the part.

Random thoughts on way home. *CNH “consumables” expensive* Road trip not cheap*DQ @Wells good*my 11.7% moisture beans should be wetter now*glad it was raining and very fortunate road trip didn’t cost harvest time*closer yellow dealer missed a $2000 parts sale as everything was black part, hardware and filters available at red or yellow*

Kudos to Arnold’s locations I visited today. I didn’t like the prices but the service was excellent.
