Makes we wonder why anyone would trade combines every few years. Takes a good year to get them straightened out. My clean grain elevator is also very noisy compared to my other older machines. My dealer mechanic just shrugged his shoulders. I worry about it but can't easily find anything wrong. New chain and paddles making a racket in the tube? I would love to know what your mechanic had to grind on.
