Will caution that spruce don't always like being planted in a typical windbreak. They do love having some space around themselves and may be more stressed when planted close together.
"Here" I am starting to lose some that are part of the windbreak on the south side of the place, and a few neighbors are losing them in other parts of a grove/windbreak as well.
It may depend on your location but the Black Hills Spruce will probably do better than the Blue Spruce, especially in a more humid climate.
