These roads in these pics are county roads going though BLM, FS and some private lands. They are supposed to be maintained by county; some funds do come from government funds like culvert replacement. Gravel can be mined from government land for roads. There is heavy road traffic everywhere out here. People want to get away, hunting, side by side riding. Countless people I meet up with that are traveling the county by motorbikes will stop us and chat and learn the history of the area. The first pics are on a National Grasslands, in the early 1900's all that ground was homesteaded. It was quite a community up there, even had a school up there. They all gave up and sold back to the government. All that country burned, in and around 2008' very prone to fire.
