So why does chicken and pork need to be fully cooked? Anybody eat that stuff raw?

I have eaten chicken that was uncooked in the middle. It was disgusting. Of course, che=icken cooked well done plus 15 minutes is disgusting also (as is all meat IMO). I do not recall ever eating uncooked pork. I believe that chicken needs to be cooked because of its tendency to contain salmonella and pork for trichinosis.
