When we built our parlor in 1988 we installed infrared electric heaters on the ceiling. Wow they put out the heat, but used a lot of electric!!! Bulbs needed to be replaced every year. Expensive!

Then we got a gas well and installed a 100,000 btu tube heater. It worked well for a long time. After 20 years in a wet humid environment, the tube rusted out. https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200905940_200905940

After that, I bought a couple natural gas garage heaters and they have been decent: https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200455652_200455652
