The neighbors with cattle have already been chopping corn for silage... Lots of corn is already brown (corn around here shouldn't be brown until Oct), we're hoping for rain to save the stuff that is still green.
The stuff without any grain in it that gets chopped for silage won't show up in the avg yield for the county or the state....
Say you got a nice rain all you want. I'll be happy for you. Just don't look at the radar and try to tell the guys in the dry areas that they're getting a rain that is gonna tank the market Sunday night.
