We have a TR89 and TR98. The 89 needs the feederhouse gone through before fall and I was wondering if anyone knew if the feeder speeds between the 2 models varied? The 98 has a 80 roller chain and less teeth on the drive sprockets versus the 89 the use 60 roller chains and larger sprockets. We have had the 89 longer and have had trouble with the outer drive sprocket spin on shaft after wiping the key off in the the shaft. This will be the 3rd time in 9 years that this will be replaced.

Top or bottom shaft? I would change the sprocket to one mounted with a tapered bushing. We did this on the bottom shaft and no more problems with getting loose.

Don't think the speed is different. Sprockets are different to accommodate the pitch difference. I would think you could put all the parts from a TR98 on your TR89. Be easier to swap a complete feederhouse.
