I think Iowa guys know for sure what a drought is. We are used to about 36 inches of moisture. When we only get get 12 we know the difference as it is huge!
Now you Kansas guys have no idea what a drought is because it is dry there all the time! LOL
I am pretty blessed where I am. If it is real wet we have the well drained hillsides that raise a crop. If is dry I have the creek bottoms that are protected from the west wind and have a high water table, along with decent soils.
Like the previous owner of one farm said, He always raised a crop some where but seldom every where.
