All I can tell you is Sunnhemp lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvves heat. I planted it in a small field after wheat one year at around 8#/acre and let it go. By the time fall came and it was time to plant c rye, it was approx 7' tall and very substantial. It has a tremendous root system and that was what I was shooting for. I know this doesn't answer your question but tread lightly on rate would be my advice. I should have put a companion with it because it is so stalky I still had some erosion issues.
