| Bought a new Buick enclave in 17. Normally pass on extended warranties, but the dealer offered one that seemed to be very reasonably priced, and like you say, with all the complicated systems on cars nowdays, I bought it. Well the rear a/c evaporator has developed a leak and the warranty will take care of it and the repair would have been more than the cost of the warranty.
Also, if we had traded before it expired, it was transferable.
With the price of vehicles today, and the high shop rates and parts prices, may not be a bad idea.
