It is huge. Can use a scooter if needed. A stroller would be no problem. But, I'd make certain that 3rd grader is the youngest I'd take. The Ark will be open. But, not all parts will be open during other times of the year. We went in February. Zoo, outdoor exhibits and some resturants were not open. Did not do creation museum.
