Eastern Washington State | I always add 3 gallons of UAN per 100 gallons of water when spraying paraquat. My chem supplier said this is the suggested practice from Syngenta and I've been doing it ever since. I can't prove it makes a big difference but I've had very good results when applying paraquat and I spray in some pretty challenging conditions (very hot and dry).
ETA: Good coverage is key to making paraquat work and increased carrier volumes can certainly help with that. However higher carrier volumes are more diluted, which makes the paraquat more vulnerable to dust problems, along with other drawbacks. Depending on your nozzle choice and environmental conditions there is going to be a sweet spot for carrier volume. More is not always better, finding what is best for you may take some experimentation. For myself I spray paraquat usually at 12.5 GPA and never more than 15 GPA.
