Hooker Twp,Ne
We are probably in the year 1978 or 79. Of the 80s right now. And yes I went through it. One thing different now is crop insurance. Where the 30s worse? From the why my grandparents talked, I would say so. However they didn’t have phone bill, electric bills, health ins.,and satellite tv bills. Had their own gardens and butchered own meat, and own eggs and milk. Would sew own shirts and mend socks. Haircuts ( both women and men) were done at home. Talk a bath once a week to conserve water. Wood stove in house. Sleep under hayrack at night during 100 degree days. And the good old outhouse. Mercy if people had to live like that today.
