staffa ontario
I was 15 in 1980. So when interest went nuts I was late teenager.
At that time dad was renting the farm out and had a job in town.
He had some investments that were collecting huge interest.
Mom and dad were children of the depression.
Mom said they ate jackrabbit as I kid so often she was sick of it!
We witnessed the farm moratorium on FCC farm sales.
My friend bought a farm just north of russeldale in 86 for FCC 100 acres new hog barn 2 storey stone house, $127,000.00.
The bankers want 200 thousand which was about half of what was owing.
Friends father was at the negotiating table and told the bankers when u leave the yard the offer drops 10,000 per day.
They took it!
My brother bought his first farm in 88 and I bought in 89.

They're is some you bucks that need to take a history lesson.
