northeastern Ohio | If I make it to 89, I would not do chemo. I just lost a friend to cancer. Friend was 52, went through chemo in 2020 (miserable), and then the cancer came back this year even worse. Doctors wanted her to do chemo again to gain 6 months of life. She opted for 2 good months without chemo. She was really good until the last 2 weeks. She would have been miserable for 6 months if she went through with the chemo.
Each case is different. Look at the cost/benefit in each case. I am with you. At 89, why risk the effects of chemo. Do the radiation and enjoy life. | |
