Brett, anytime i go more 1/4 mile with 4" laterals, I get less than satisfactory results in chequest or colo soil types. Anymore, went to putting 4" for the first 1/4 mile and then finishing run with 5" if its at 1 tenth or less grade.
Since tile is put in from the main towards the far end this could be taken two different ways.....
I think you are saying you run a 5 inch from the main to about half way, thrn finish up with 4 inch to its end? Would be the normal way.
