I don't have to battle the drainage district ditches like you do. Splitting the field like you are considering has to help some when its an average wet spring. When its a wet spell that last 3 to 4 weeks like we can have 30 percent of the years, I say no., Have you noticed a difference between plowed in stuff versus trenches or chain machines on the surrounding ground?
Increasing my drainage coefficient on tiled ground..........
