.40 carry to hold to after the first of the year. What does your basis look like for now and then?
I have a bunch of very poor HTA contracts considering where the market is today and what it has done in the last three months. When wheat took off I was afraid the basis would go crazy negative and I didn’t wanna lose value from where I was at that point anyway. I locked in the basis early at 35 under for September delivery. At that point there was an inverse carry in the market. One local elevator is at 90 under for harvest delivery.
