S Illinois
I would rather have high heat/low humidity if one could put on enough water. 100+ for a high and lows in the 60’s are much better than 95/80. The former gives a plant a chance to rest. It’s actually somewhat difficult to get super high yields in the delta despite unlimited water. Humidity and disease kill top end corn yields.

It’s also funny how when someone thinks that 45” of annual rainfall is the greatest thing. Sure it prevents long term multi year significant droughts, but dry at the wrong time is not good. Not sure what good a 3” rain in March or 2” in Nov does for corn yields when most of it runs off. 20-25” from May-Sept would be preferable but many of the high rainfall areas actually get less rain in July-Sept than they get Oct-Dec and especially Feb-April.
