South Central MN | I think it’s interesting that when this show was filmed, parents were already so “enlightened” and spanking was being discouraged. Recently, I was having a conversation with two of our kids (ages 36 and 39) about a couple of incidents of discipline from other adults while I was growing up. They seemed very surprised that adults, and not just my parents, would discipline us when needed. I think it’s actually unfortunate we have strayed from this. If an adult caught you misbehaving, it could be handled right on the spot. | |
