SW OH | I'm 99% sure there was a poster here on NAT that had the same thing happen while his 12ish year old son was in the seat. Son escaped without injury. He did some research and found this was a common problem with a particular model of CAT skid steer. Either he or some one else was trying to get a class action lawsuit going against CAT. This poster knew of 4 others that also went up in flames. There was also supposedly a wiring harness issue under the seat causing a short, starting the fires. There may have been a factory update as well. Like I said, I don't think I dreamt this. Same thing happened to a neighbor but unfortunately there's was in the barn.
