| I prefer to roll right after planting but that doesn’t always happen here. Do not roll them as they are emerging, I like second trifoliate. Anywhere between first and third trifoliate is recommended here. A sunny hot day is best, the beans are more rubbery and flexible then.
It feels wrong doing it when they’re up but don’t sweat it, it doesn’t hurt them a bit.
