I agree. The problem is independent candidates do not have enough money to buy the votes. If one person believes these billionaires and huge companies don't buy the candidate your crazy. I worked for one. My brother in law works for another. They actually had a huge company meeting and it was expected to donate money to the candidate the company chose. They stopped short of demanding or taking it from their pay. But it was highly insinuated that it would help your chance to move up in this company. Politics is all bought and paid for both sides. I'm meeting Friday night with an independent candidate running for nebraska governor. We grew up together. I will support him but we can't compete with jim pillan and his connections. Money talks and wins. But we are going to try.
