W Texas | Seems like the northern guys don’t care much one way or another.
But I’ve seen a lot of herds over the years from Kansas southward. And in the summer months a lot of herds will have a few cattle wasting away in the shade. Panting and thin. Tropical wasting disease. 90% of these cattle will still have a winter coat. And the cattle that are out foraging and thriving will all be slick and shiny.
Heat is deadly for cattle that don’t shed out. | |
