There is some in my area that has some significant leaf damage … they have done it a couple years and it looked worse last year so they must think it pays
It might toast the edges of the top leaves, but the plant grows out of it stronger than ever (unless you spread it way too heavy.) It looks better or worse depending on weather and how much water the corn sees how soon.
