And to add, if you have the wider of the 2 factory splash guards, Truck Hardware (the company that makes gatorbacks) has filler pieces, so you can remove them.
It's not hard to remove. On the '21 half ton, I replaced the narrow oem with the wide oem. Then turned around and had to buy the $30 dollar or so filler kit, to install the gatorbacks. I used to save everything, now I am in the mindset to get rid of "get rid of junk" I might use someday. It bit me in the but this time!
