echoing the replies above, especially the bull comment. those jersey bulls (not all)  could put the devil himself on the run.
have a jersey steer in the freezer right now. Tender. tender tender, and great marbling. Delicious!

raising bottle babies is tricky MO. when starting out, DO NOT over feed. pint and a half, three times a day seemed
to be the golden ticket for us. Best to have a little hungry calf than a dead one.
I think Jerseys scour pretty easy.
Getting a nice finish on a fat steer takes a few extra months, MO, they are slooow growers,

good to see your getting back to health, cattle may be the best medicine :
