| I think you will find many if not most older farmers jaded because of experiences just like this. It’s not unique to this dealer or this tractor. It happens all the time. Paying a premium price is rarely if ever a good idea unless you know the owner and history of the tractor. This is the reason you can’t restore tractors and sell them for a profit. It takes loads of time and money to do these jobs right. Most repairs are rushed with many, many corners cut to save money and time. Unless it had a Deere reman engine it with documentation, saying it’s been overhauled doesn’t mean anything to me. Don’t give up, you learned your lesson. You can apply this lesson the rest of your life. Don’t take a tractor jockey or dealer’s word for anything. | |
